♥ TIP: Use one facial mask twice

Hello everyone!

This might not be new to you but for me it is. I don't usually use facial masks because I feel like I'm wasting the excess essence inside the pack. But I really wanted to use it religiously because of the benefits it will give for my skin. But then again, I get discourage every time I think about the reason why I don't use facial masks. So, I thought, if only I could find a dry face mask then I can maximize the essence in the pack. Then, one day, my prayers (well, not really, hehe) were answered. I, finally, found a dry mask so I started this experiment of mine and it went pretty well. So, here I am sharing it with you (I'm referring to people who still don't know this tip/hack). :D

If you are interested then please keep on reading. :)

♥ TIP: Must have Make-ups

This tip is about make-ups that you will need if you love putting on make-up but not a professional make-up artist. If you are using make-up on a daily basis and on special occasions, it is unnecessary to have a whole trunk of different make-up products which you don't even know how to use some of it. You just select a few that you use most of the time. And here the suggested ones:

1. Foundation
Although some people say you can skip this, foundation really helps bring your whole look together. Think it will look like a mask? It’s all about application! Skip the sponge or brush and use your fingers to apply only where you need it—under your eyes, on your lids and to smooth out uneven skin tones.

2. Powder
Loose powder will set your base for the rest of the day so you don’t need to keep reapplying. Loose is also lighter than pressed so you don’t need to worry about looking too made up. But say no to baby powder because it never looks flattering on anyone.

3. Peach-toned Blush

Peach looks more natural than pink, especially for Asian skin. Pick a color that has equal amounts of both hues if you are on the fair side. A good blush should be able to go from day to night. Or, you can invest in a darker hue for evenings out.

4. A neutral eyeshadow palette
This usually contains four colors that you can build on so you can actually go from day to night just by adding a darker color. While neutral sounds boring, it’s actually more useful than a trunkful of rainbow hues. Though those are cute, pick a few colors that match your hair, skin and eyes for days you want to have a bit of fun.

5. Mascara
A well put-together face is never complete without long, luscious lashes! Do you have short lashes? Pick one with a lengthening formula. If you’re partial to movie star eyes, get a volumizing mascara for the false lash look!

6. Lipstick

Pick one or two everyday neutrals and another two for parties and nights out. Take note: Neutral need not be boring! Pick a snazzy coral or a pretty taupe for day and your perfect red and a bright orange for night.

That's it girls! Hope you find this interesting. Thank you for viewing! :)

♥ TIP: How to treat your damaged hair

Hello everyone! This post is for the girls who have damaged hair, just like me, because of relax and rebonding. Let me tell you my story first. Hehe! I have a long hair, it is originally wavy but I want it to be so straight. I was grade 6 back then when my mother first introduced me to salon treatments. She had my hair relaxed and I liked the result of it. So, whenever my hair will go back to being wavy, we will go again to a salon to have it straightened and that went on until now. That is the reason why my hair is really damaged. I was not aware that my hair is very damaged already. Well, my mother told me about it but during that time, I had no care of my physical appearance. She just told me to have hot oil every month to repair my hair but I was so lazy and had no time to go to a salon. So, I just let my hair that way. When I went to college, I already learned how to put makeup (well, still practicing right now), how to dress like a girly girl (LOL), in short, I was now aware of my physical appearance. Then one day, I went to SVS Salon to have a hair treatment. I blogged about it here. One of the employees there who was assigned to shampoo my hair told me that I have a very damaged hair. I told her that I know it already, that is why I am having a hair treatment. But she said that even there hair treatment cannot repair my hair, until it came to the part that she told me to cut my hair short, as in super short! I really don't like super short hair because that doesn't fit me. So, I just told her no, I will just find a way to repair my hair. From that day, I was like awakened, lol! Until I read a blog post about how to treat damaged hair. Whoa! That was quite long. Well, let us start now. :)

This is my version on how to repair your damaged hair. Since I am not that rich to buy expensive products with good quality, I am going to advise those products that can be easily found on supermarkets that have also a good quality and effective. :)

If you think your hair damage level is intense, then Dove Intense Repair is for you. It reconstructs hair and prevents split ends and breakage, leaves hair strengthened and resilient to future damage without weighing it down.

I prefer using Creamsilk Perfection full-bodied straight because it specifically designed to restore the health and maintain the full-bodied look of salon-straightened hair for a longer period of time plus it has Keratin, which our hair needed the most.

I also recommend you to use leave-on whenever you go outside the house to protect your hair from the sun. Do not use serum-based because it will just worsen the damage of your hair, based on my experience. Lol! Use cream-based instead. :)

And lastly, do a deep conditioning on your hair at least twice a week.

So, that's it, I hope you have learned something today. Thank you for viewing! :)))

♥ TIP: Breakup Foods

Hi there! It's been a long time since my last post. Sorry, I was busy with school. So today, I am going to share with you the top 5 breakup foods. I think almost all of the people have love life so you might want to know the foods to eat when your boyfriend/girlfriend broke up with you

Following a breakup, many of us naturally turn to high-calorie foods to help ease the pain and make us feel better.

However, a diet of junk food can have implications on your health and appearance that will stick with you long after your ex has become a distant memory. Fortunately, there are many foods that will satisfy your cravings without compromising your health.

Here are 5 common breakup foods and their healthy alternatives, to help get you through your breakup feeling better than ever.

1. Ice Cream
This is one of the world's most popular comfort foods. However, the frozen dessert is packed with calories, meaning that working your way through litres of the stuff will more likely leave you feeling guilty, bloated and sluggish than comforted.

Indulge your cravings without the guilt by replacing ice cream with a low fat tub of frozen yoghurt - or fruit sorbet, if you are feeling particularly saintly. With the many flavours of frozen yoghurt available today, switching your frozen treat does not have to mean compromising on taste. For an added health boost, try sprinkling some walnuts on your dessert to up your intake of omega-3 fatty acids, which can help improve your mood.

2. Chocolate
This is another food frequently in demand following a breakup. Unfortunately, chocolate - like many of our favourite treats - is high in fat and sugar. However, if you find yourself craving chocolate following a breakup, there is no need to completely deny yourself.

Chocolate contains relaxing magnesium, soothing anandamide and mood-boosting phenylethylamine, making chocolate a good mood food. To safeguard your health, try snacking on dark chocolate instead of milk, and limit your intake to a few squares a day. Alternatively, try switching your chocolate bar for some chocolate-covered strawberries or raisins to up the nutritional value of your snack.

3. Crisps and Chips
Family-sized bags of potato or tortilla chips are all too tempting to tuck into in the face of a breakup. However, not only are crisps packed with fat, calories and salt, but they have next to no nutritional value, so munching on them is unlikely to leave you feeling great.

To satisfy cravings while improving your health and waistline, try swapping crisps for some lightly seasoned popcorn; a healthy wholegrain snack that is lower in fat than crisps, higher in fibre, and packed with antioxidants and nutrients. Popcorn also contains B vitamins, which have great mood-boosting properties.

4. Pizza
Few of us feel like cooking when we are down, so pizzas and takeaways might seem like a good meal option following a breakup. However, while the odd slice of pizza is unlikely to do you any harm, making pizza a regular part of your diet is likely to take its toll on your health, mood and appearance.

Fortunately, pizza is a "junk food" that actually has many healthy elements when done right, so next time you are tempted by a pizza, try forcing yourself out in the kitchen to prepare a healthy version instead. To make a healthier pizza, try replacing the dough with some wholegrain ciabatta or pitta bread, and pile on the veg. While it is also wise to go easy on the mozzarella, a bit of cheese could actually do you good due to its high levels of tryptophan ; an amino acid which boosts serotonin.

5. Cakes and Cookies
If cakes and cookies are your weakness, it may be worth switching to some lower fat alternatives to help you stay in shape while braving your breakup. To replace the cookies, opt for some chocolate or caramel flavored rice or corn cakes, which are lower in fat, calories and cholesterol. Alternatively, try some dried fruit oatcakes, or a healthy fruit and seed bar.

If you are craving something sweet but slightly more stodgy, try replacing cakes with hot-cross buns, malt loaf or sweet bagels, which are lower in fat than cake (so long as you go easy on the margarine!) and also have a higher nutritional value. Alternatively, try some pure fruit spread on toast or crumpets for an easy, healthy and comforting sweet snack.
