♥ NAIL ART: Ombre

Hi there my lovely readers! I just had an experiment on my nail. One day, I saw a post about how to do an ombre nail. And because I really love ombre, it really is very attractive for me, I decided to do it on my nail. Last monday, I finally tried it and here I am now sharing with you the output. On this post, I will be putting the steps on how to make it. :)

So, let's start. The things you need to have are: 2 different color nail polishes (1 light shade, 1 darker shade), 1 colorless nail polish, sponge.

ignore the hairpins :)
Step 1: Using the light shade of nail polish, coat your nails as many coat as you want. It will serve as the base for the ombre effect. Then, wait for it to dry.
Step 2: In a clean paper, pour an enough amount of the 2 nail polishes (the light and darker shade). Keep them separated.
Step 3: Using the sponge, dip the tip of it to the darker shade and dab it on the tip of your nail. Do it on the other nails also.
Step 4: On the other side of the sponge, dip it to the lighter shade and dab it on the other half of your nail. Blend the two colors by dabbing the sponge again and again until you will see the ombre effect. While dabbing, do not include the tip of your nail, it should be darker. Do it also on the other nails.
Step 5: When the nails are all dry, apply one coat of colorless nail polish for it to look shiny.

It's so easy but I had a hard time cleaning my fingers from the excess nail polish. Let me just tell you that it's okay to let the nail polish spread to your skin, just clean them afterwards. And when all of it is done, you will see the worth of your effort. :) I'm sorry I wasn't able to take a picture of the steps. But here is the picture of the output.

I used digicam here.
I used the camera of my phone here.
You can see the ombre effect better in person. A lot of my friends appreciated it and I can really say that my effort is worth it. :) But my "harsh critic" boyfriend didn't like it, he said I am like a prostitute. Ouch! -__- I really hate it when his critic side will come out. Hahaha! Anyways, I will wear this as long as it is still not ruined. :)

So, I hope you find this post interesting and tell me if you tried the ombre nail also. Till my next post! :)

♥ FOTD: Summer Meadow

Summer is already over here in the Philippines. But it won't stop me from doing summer makeups. So, here is another face of the day post. This is called Summer Meadow. Again, I was inspired by the video of Michelle Phan. She will always be my inspiration when it comes to makeup. If you haven't watched the video yet, click here. :)

So, let us start with a clean face.

Then, this is what I look like after putting my own makeup base on the video.

I took a screenshot on Michelle Phan's video for you to compare. :)

You be the judge. xD

Let us close up my eyes.

So that you can look closely. :)
That's it. Hope you enjoyed viewing this post. Please feel free to comment on the comment box. Thank you. :)

♥ TIP: Breakup Foods

Hi there! It's been a long time since my last post. Sorry, I was busy with school. So today, I am going to share with you the top 5 breakup foods. I think almost all of the people have love life so you might want to know the foods to eat when your boyfriend/girlfriend broke up with you

Following a breakup, many of us naturally turn to high-calorie foods to help ease the pain and make us feel better.

However, a diet of junk food can have implications on your health and appearance that will stick with you long after your ex has become a distant memory. Fortunately, there are many foods that will satisfy your cravings without compromising your health.

Here are 5 common breakup foods and their healthy alternatives, to help get you through your breakup feeling better than ever.

1. Ice Cream
This is one of the world's most popular comfort foods. However, the frozen dessert is packed with calories, meaning that working your way through litres of the stuff will more likely leave you feeling guilty, bloated and sluggish than comforted.

Indulge your cravings without the guilt by replacing ice cream with a low fat tub of frozen yoghurt - or fruit sorbet, if you are feeling particularly saintly. With the many flavours of frozen yoghurt available today, switching your frozen treat does not have to mean compromising on taste. For an added health boost, try sprinkling some walnuts on your dessert to up your intake of omega-3 fatty acids, which can help improve your mood.

2. Chocolate
This is another food frequently in demand following a breakup. Unfortunately, chocolate - like many of our favourite treats - is high in fat and sugar. However, if you find yourself craving chocolate following a breakup, there is no need to completely deny yourself.

Chocolate contains relaxing magnesium, soothing anandamide and mood-boosting phenylethylamine, making chocolate a good mood food. To safeguard your health, try snacking on dark chocolate instead of milk, and limit your intake to a few squares a day. Alternatively, try switching your chocolate bar for some chocolate-covered strawberries or raisins to up the nutritional value of your snack.

3. Crisps and Chips
Family-sized bags of potato or tortilla chips are all too tempting to tuck into in the face of a breakup. However, not only are crisps packed with fat, calories and salt, but they have next to no nutritional value, so munching on them is unlikely to leave you feeling great.

To satisfy cravings while improving your health and waistline, try swapping crisps for some lightly seasoned popcorn; a healthy wholegrain snack that is lower in fat than crisps, higher in fibre, and packed with antioxidants and nutrients. Popcorn also contains B vitamins, which have great mood-boosting properties.

4. Pizza
Few of us feel like cooking when we are down, so pizzas and takeaways might seem like a good meal option following a breakup. However, while the odd slice of pizza is unlikely to do you any harm, making pizza a regular part of your diet is likely to take its toll on your health, mood and appearance.

Fortunately, pizza is a "junk food" that actually has many healthy elements when done right, so next time you are tempted by a pizza, try forcing yourself out in the kitchen to prepare a healthy version instead. To make a healthier pizza, try replacing the dough with some wholegrain ciabatta or pitta bread, and pile on the veg. While it is also wise to go easy on the mozzarella, a bit of cheese could actually do you good due to its high levels of tryptophan ; an amino acid which boosts serotonin.

5. Cakes and Cookies
If cakes and cookies are your weakness, it may be worth switching to some lower fat alternatives to help you stay in shape while braving your breakup. To replace the cookies, opt for some chocolate or caramel flavored rice or corn cakes, which are lower in fat, calories and cholesterol. Alternatively, try some dried fruit oatcakes, or a healthy fruit and seed bar.

If you are craving something sweet but slightly more stodgy, try replacing cakes with hot-cross buns, malt loaf or sweet bagels, which are lower in fat than cake (so long as you go easy on the margarine!) and also have a higher nutritional value. Alternatively, try some pure fruit spread on toast or crumpets for an easy, healthy and comforting sweet snack.

So, here you are guys. A tip on what to eat after breakup. Hope you enjoyed viewing this post. See you! :)

♥ REVIEW: MAC 2in1 Lipstick/Lipgloss

I am a kind of girl who don't wear lipstick on normal days because I tend to lick my lips to keep it wet. I don't like dry lips, it will make my lips crack and I hate it. And I don't like the taste of lipstick, it tastes bitter. My mom always put lipstick on me when I was little and I don't like the taste. I only use lipstick on special occasions and photo shoots and I swear, I try not to lick my lips. Now that I'm in college, I am now conscious on how I look because there are so many pretty girls in school. My friends always tell me that I am really pale and I need to put on some lipstick. Yes I know that I am pale since high school, it is because I am anemic. I tried to use lipstick once in high school but I am really lazy to go to the restroom and retouch that is why I stopped using it. And now that my college friends are bothered of my paleness, one of them actually gave me a lipstick and it is the photo above. I tried using it and licking it and fortunately, there is no bitter taste from the lipstick. I am glad that my friend picked the perfect lipstick for me. :) And now, onto the review.

swatch
This is my first time to make a review of a lipstick, so please bear with me. :)

applied only once
applied twice lol! is there a difference ? xD
w/ lip gloss and w/ flash
I don't usually use the lip gloss because I hate it when the wind blows, my hair will stick to my mouth because of it. xD

Likes:
- It gives a matte look (w/o the lip gloss).
- It is almost the same color as the natural lip color.
- It lasts long if I don't lick it. Lol!

Dislikes:
- The container. The lip gloss will spill.

This is my fave lipstick so far. Thanks to my concerned friend. :)

♥ CELEBRITY: Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth's Engagement

Photo from Yahoo!
Article from Yahoo!:

It’s official, Miley Cyrus is ENGAGED. Hunger Games heartthrob, Liam Hemsworth - younger brother to equally hunky Chris Hemsworth – popped the question to the 19-year-old singer on Thursday. Congrats! Miley said of the news, ‘I’m so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam.’ Aw! Young love, eh?

Who Wants To See Miley Cyrus's Engagement Ring?

So what of the ring? Well, here's a first look at the 3.5 carat diamond bling and isn't it a stunner? According to People magazine, it comes courtesy of jeweller Neil Lane who’s dressed many A-list fingers from Jessica Simpson's to Ellen DeGeneres'. Appazza, Liam approached Mr Lane and asked for something ‘unusual, beautiful and really romantic’ before deciding on this handcrafted beauty in a floral 18-karat gold pattern. Nice! Neil reveals that the stone would have been originally hand-cut around 1880 or 1890 and that he finished the ring the same week Liam proposed.

Wow! Miley Cyrus is finally engaged to Liam Hemsworth. Have I told you that I have a crush to his brother which is Chris Hemsworth? He is so handsome and macho. Hahaha! I am happy for them, I just hope they don't end their relationship early just like other celebrities (local and international). And I do hope that Miley won't take drugs or any bad vices. I really like her, I idolize her that's why I don't want her to be in bad shape. :) The ring is so perfect! How I wish someone will give that kind of ring to me. (Libre lang mangarap. Hahaha!)

Anyways, hope you enjoyed this post. Are you happy for them? Lol! :)

♥ MOVIE: Crazy Little Thing Called Love

Synopsis: Nam is a young and ordinary highschool girl, unattractive with nerd glasses and dark skin tone. She has a big crush on a heartthrob senior (Shone) at school. To make him see that she exists in his world, the girl tries to improve her physical look and attempts to become the star at school. However, her crush seems not to pay any attention to her yet.

This is the first Thai movie that I have seen and I love it. I really love comedy/romance movies. I love comedy because I don't want the movie to be so serious, I will be bored. Lol! And I love romance because I can realate to the story and I am imagining myself as the leading lady. Hahaha!

I watched this movie for 5 times already and I'm still not tired of it. So far, this is my favorite movie. Since I watched this, I started to love Mario Maurer! I want to see him in person. :( That's my wish. Lol!

My favorite scene in this movie is the part when Nam told Shone her feelings for him. You must watch it if you still haven't. The plot is very interesting. Here are some photos and gifs from the movie. Enjoy! :)

the transformation of Nam :)
my favorite part. it really made my cry :(
Mario Maurer is really cute!!!

A must watch. :) How about you, what's your favorite romance movie ? :)

♥ MUSIC: Call Me maybe

I don't know what's with this song but I keep on hearing other people saying that they want to make a music video of it. I think I heard like 3 times a day with in this week only. I love music. It would make my life dull with out music. For me, this song is not really my type but I like it though. Maybe other people would go crazy with the music video? I don't know. Let's just watch it.

Oh! Now I know. I think it's the video. Lol! I just viewed the video and it was so funny. Hahaha! Go see for yourself. xD Here is the lyrics:

I threw a wish in the well,
Don't ask me, I'll never tell
I looked to you as it fell,
And now you're in my way

I'd trade my soul for a wish,
Pennies and dimes for a kiss
I wasn't looking for this,
But now you're in my way

Your stare was holdin',
Ripped jeans, skin was showin'
Hot night, wind was blowin'
Where you think you're going, baby?

Chorus:
Hey, I just met you,
And this is crazy,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?

It's hard to look right,
At you baby,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?

Hey, I just met you,
And this is crazy,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?

And all the other boys,
Try to chase me,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?

You took your time with the call,
I took no time with the fall
You gave me nothing at all,
But still, you're in my way

I beg, and borrow and steal
At first sight and it's real
I didn't know I would feel it,
But it's in my way

Your stare was holdin',
Ripped jeans, skin was showin'
Hot night, wind was blowin'
Where you think you're going, baby?

Chorus:
Hey, I just met you,
And this is crazy,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?

It's hard to look right,
At you baby,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?

Hey, I just met you,
And this is crazy,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?

And all the other boys,
Try to chase me,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?

Before you came into my life
I missed you so bad
I missed you so bad
I missed you so, so bad

Before you came into my life
I missed you so bad
And you should know that
I missed you so, so bad

It's hard to look right,
At you baby,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?

Hey, I just met you,
And this is crazy,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?

And all the other boys,
Try to chase me,
But here's my number,
So call me, maybe?

Before you came into my life
I missed you so bad
I missed you so bad
I missed you so so bad

Before you came into my life
I missed you so bad
And you should know that

So call me, maybe?

Hope you enjoyed singing. :)

♥ PHOTOSHOOT: Hypnos

Hi! I know I haven't made any post for two days i think. Well, here it is. Today, I am going to share my fifth photo shoot. The theme of this photo shoot is Hypnos. Hypnos is the personification of sleep. So, expect more sleeping less posing on the photos. Lol!

Find me. Hahaha!
This is a studio shoot. The team, which is again the B+E Captured, made a good set up for this shoot. I was kinda pressured with this shoot because it's not the usual posing-to-look-like-a-good-model shoot. For me, it is difficult to pose with your eyes closed because I believe that a good model projects through the eyes. It's really challenging. I was afraid that I might not have a good photo of this but when I saw the outputs, I was happy. Kudos to everyone especially B+E Captured. I really thank them a lot. Hope to have more projects with them. Hahaha!

♥ TRAVEL: Eden Nature Park

I really love to travel. I love to see different views in different places. But we are not rich to afford that dream. Fortunately, I have a boyfriend whose parents are so generous. One day, they invited me to join them in touring their relatives from Bacolod. It was their first time to go to Davao, so we toured them to different tourist spots here in Davao. It happened last year, I am just going to share with you, my lovely readers, how beautiful Davao City is. And who knows, maybe one day you will going to visit Davao City. If you have read this post, at least, you will have an idea where to go. So, let us start with our tour.

First, we went to Eden Nature Park. I keep on hearing that place. They said, the place is beautiful, you really gonna enjoy it, and it's worth the money. Hearing those words made me want to go there but how? I don't have money because I also heard that the entrance fee is a little bit expensive and the food is also expensive. So, I was very happy that I am finally be going there for the first time. I was really excited. Well, you know, my second favorite part in traveling is to see the views while on the road. Especially, when the place is so far, it means more time viewing views while riding the car. That is why I also love field trips. Hahaha!

So, I already shared with you about my excitement and favorite parts on a trip. Now, let me share with you what we did there through photos. But first, let me just give you a background about Eden Nature Park, which I got from their site.

A mountain resort 3,000 feet above sea level, Eden Nature Park is 95% man-made! It is a great model of how we can re-create nature and rebuild a lost environment.
Discovered sometime in 1971, the resort used to be a logged-over area covered only by a blanket of wild grass. Its potential was, however, readily seen by the owners as the property provided an imposing view of Davao City and the Davao Gulf.
Not long after, terraces were carved out of the mountain slope, and thousands of pine tree seedlings were planted. As the pine trees grew, they provided canopies allowing other trees and plants to grow and creating a secondary forest. Today, there are over 100,000 pine trees spread throughout 80 hectares, providing a refreshing backdrop to the various attractions in Eden Nature Park.

So, here are our photos taken during that day. :)

I will end this post right here. Hope you enjoyed viewing this post. I hope you could also visit Eden Nature Park and Resort. Visit also their site. Click here. :)
