Hello there! Have you watched Monsters Incorporated? Well, they are having a prequel of that movie. The title of it is Monsters University where all the soon to be monsters are trained and educated to become frightful monsters. I am very excited to watch that one. Monsters Inc. is one of my fave cartoon movies. I'm still young you know. Lol!
Anyways, my nail art tutorial today is a Monsters Inc. inspired. I will make my nails look like the fur of James P. Sullivan. If you're not very much familiar with him, here he is.
What are we waiting for? Let us now start the tutorial. :)
To start off, you will need:
1. Base Coat
2. Sky Blue Nail Polish
3. Sky Blue Flocking Powder
4. Light Violet Nail Polish
5. Brush
Step 1: As always, apply your fave base coat to protect your natural nails.
Step 2: Paint your nails with Sky Blue nail polish.
Step 3: Apply another coat of the Sky Blue nail polish. And before it dries, quickly pour an enough amount of the Sky Blue flocking powder on to the nail.
Step 4: Gently dab the powder, making sure that it will really stick on your nail. Then wait for a couple of minutes before using a brush to wipe off the excess powder.
Step 5: Using a Light Violet nail polish, add spots on the velvet nails. (I don't have a light violet nail polish, so I just mixed the dark violet and white nail polish.)
And that's it! You don't need top coat this time because it will just ruin the velvety look of your nails. :)
And the result:
For those of you who still don't know what flocking powder is, it is a powder that you will use to achieve a velvety nails. It's a new trend today and it's so cute. The only downside is that the dusts stick to the velvet nails making them look dirty. So, it is not to be used for a longer period. But you will enjoy putting the powder and feeling your velvet nails after. :)
So, what do you think about this nail art? Have I nailed it? Lol! Comment below. Thank you for viewing! God bless. :)
